Transparent rules before black-box precision.

  • Velocity blends order-line rank and unit-pick rank, with order lines weighted higher because touches drive travel.
  • Priority is score-based: 82+ is high, 58-81 is medium, and lower scores are monitoring items.
  • Slow movers in prime pick-face space are checked before handling overrides so obvious space recovery does not get buried.
  • Replenishment pressure is only urgent when paired with high velocity, low days of supply, or a poor current location.
  • Heavy, bulky, fragile, hazmat, and temperature-control signals can override pure velocity when handling risk matters.
  • Rows missing SKU, pick activity, or basic dimensions are held for review instead of pretending the answer is precise.
